SquarePOS Offline Mode
This method should only be used when your SquarePOS is unable to connect to the internet.
How to Enter Offline Mode: By default if your iPad cannot connect to the internet SquarePOS will automatically switch into offline mode. In the event of extremely poor internet connectivity you MUST turn on airplane mode on your iPad - This will force Square into offline mode.
If SquarePOS does NOT automatically enter offline mode
Step 1:
Within the iPads Settings, Enable Airplane Mode
Step 2:
Within the iPads Settings, Disable WiFi.
Step 3:
Open the Square POS Application
ONCE IN OFFLINE MODE PLEASE KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND:
- Your sales data will be "stored" but not synced so it will look like you have no sales for the day.
- In order to sync your sales data you will need to connect your iPad to a reliable internet source. As all Squishable.com iPad's used for our POS Systems are locked to only operate on Squishable approved networks it's important to ensure you're connecting to Squishable.com approved network to upload transactions.

To ensure that your data synced properly you will need to go to the Reports feature in the Square app to see if sales data appears. If the WIFI connection is strong enough it should sync immediately and automatically. If your sales data is not appearing it is most likely due to the WIFI connection not being strong enough so you will need to continue to look for a stronger connection.
- Square will only store transactions for a rolling 24 hour period so it is imperative that you connect your iPad to a reliable WIFI source daily while in offline mode.
- There is a $100.00 per card limit on all transactions*
- *During peak times, or with the written approval of the CEO, CTO, COO, or CFO, the limit may temporarily be raised. Stores, managers, regionals, or other individuals are not permitted to raise this limit under any circumstances.
- Customers may purchase a $300 transaction, however, the register will split into $100 intervals.
- You Must check into WIFI every 2 Hours (120 minutes), no exceptions.
- If after a full business day the WiFi does not return, teams must use a temporary personal hotspot or mall wifi to upload transactions.
OTHER NOTES:

NEVER NEVER NEVER uninstall the square app and then reinstall while in offline mode. You will lose everything. --> On all locked iPads provided by Squishable.com for the purpose of being a Point of Sale the deletion of SquarePOS is impossible and restricted as such.
- Offline mode is a TEMPORARY solution. If you are experiencing on going connection issues please reach out to your direct manager, district/regional and the Squishable IT Department immediately.
